Principal Kartsimas Earns National Recognition for Being A Mom As Principal

This past summer Principal of Kennedy School, Melissa Kartsimas joined a group of colleagues known as "Moms As Principals" in presenting at a national principals conference in Philadelphia.  The group gained the attention of the well-known publication Education Week, and is a feature in the August 8th edition.  Please click on the link below to read the article.

School District 81 is proud of Principal Kartsimas' participation in this group, as well as her philosophy that all the students in her care at Kennedy School are her children.  The group stresses that they see no distinction between the children in the schools they run and the ones they are raising at home.  The District feels fortunate that Mrs. Kartsimas has chosen to offer her dedication, love, and commitment to her career and to the students of our learning community.
