P.E. and Health Curriculum

Moving Bodies Build Healthy Minds

The Physical Education curriculum at Lincoln Middle School is designed to cover skills, rules and strategies of both individual and team sports. The curriculum also focuses on fitness concepts and how to incorporate those concepts into students' daily lives. The Health Education curriculum, which is closely linked to the Physical Education curriculum, is designed to provide the students with the necessary knowledge and skills they need to lead a healthy life.

Each grades curriculum is designed to build upon from one year to the next. From the time students enter Lincoln as sixth graders to the time they leave as eighth graders, they will have participated in several different individual and team sport activities as well as being exposed to many different fitness components. Throughout each year the students will also have the opportunity to learn a wide range of health issues and concepts.
