Dr. Kimberly Boryszewski is a recent graduate of the Illinois School for Advanced Leadership Academy (ISAL), a voluntary professional development opportunity for Illinois school superintendents. Dr. Boryszewski participated in this two-year program alongside her cohort peers of superintendents across the state.
ISAL’s goal is to provide practicing Illinois superintendents with experiences that build exemplary knowledge and skills essential for successfully impacting student achievement.
Dr. Boryszewski participated in trainings over a two-year period, conducted a comprehensive needs assessment of School District 81, and developed a personalized professional growth plan for student achievement.
IASA Director, Dr. Brent Clark explains that the intent of ISAL is to build better leaders. “We were looking for “Trail Blazers,” people who would go where others had never gone. What we ended up with is a dedicated group of educators who are specially trained to lead their school districts and to help create a vision for public education in our state.”
Superintendent Boryszewski is a member of the second Advanced Leadership Cohort to graduate from the academy. Participation in the program is by selection, and graduates are among the top leaders of Illinois school superintendents. SD81 is proud to congratulate Dr. Boryszewski, and grateful for her continued dedication and commitment to the District.
