Schiller Park Library Visit-Monday, October 26

Dear Parent or Guardian,

We love reading and want our students to love it, too! To expand their opportunities, Washington School students will be going on a field trip to the Schiller Park Public Library on Monday, October 26th.  You are invited to join us at the library during your child’s scheduled time. If you’ve never been there or it’s been awhile since your last visit, here is a chance to see the wonderful changes the library has implemented.

We know that many of our students already have library cards. If your child does not have a library card and would like to get one, we will provide a registration form prior to the field trip. The library typically requires a parent present with two forms of legal identification that include a current local address. To streamline this process, they have offered to let our students apply for a library card if they bring the completed form and one form of legal identification.  If you are unable to attend the field trip, you can send a photocopy of you personal identification. We will return the photocopy with your student.

Our students who reside in Franklin Park and have a library card will have an opportunity to register cards with the Schiller Park Library if they would like to have borrowing privileges.

We hope you will be able to share the library visit with us. If you have questions or need additional information, please call the school office. If you do not wish your child to participate in this field trip, please inform the office and alternate activities will be provided.
