Washington Halloween Parade & Parties-Friday, Oct 30

Washington School Halloween Celebration!

Dear Parents:

Washington Halloween parade and parties will be on Friday, October 30. Our goal is to have a safe, enjoyable, and appropriate experience for the children. Please remind your child that all rules for appropriate school behavior will be in effect.

Students will be able to change into their costumes in the afternoon. Classroom Halloween parties will begin at 1:15.  At 2:45 P.M., weather permitting, the children will walk in a Halloween parade around the block in costume. We hope you can come and watch the parade.

The following rules must be followed without exception:

  1. NO make-up or hair spray may be brought or worn to school. NO swords, guns, knives, pitchforks or club type items are allowed.
  2. Costumes may not be worn to school.  Students will have time to change after lunch.
  3. At the conclusion of the parade, students will enter the building to get their backpacks, and then be dismissed. Parents may pick their children up at 3:00 outside, in the front of the school. Students may not be signed out early.
  4. Students MAY NOT eat candy on the bus ride home.

If you prefer that your child does not participate in our Halloween Celebration, other activities will be available. Please let your child’s teacher know.
