Message From the Principal

Principal's Corner

The Washington staff and I are looking forward to a year full of making memories and creating interactive learning opportunities. We have the best students, and we love working and learning along with them each and every day. We also appreciate and value the partnership we have with parents and community members. By working together we can provide positive learning experiences for our students.

I am excited for my second year at Washington School. School District 81 has been my work home for 11 years, and I have had the opportunity be at all three schools. I was a sixth grade teacher at Lincoln, an assistant principal at Kennedy, and now the principal at Washington. I am honored to work in a community that values education and puts students first. I am excited about all the engaging learning activities we have planned for this year.

I look forward to working with our students and families throughout the year. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me and I'll be happy to answer questions and work with you to best meet the needs of our students.

You can reach me by sending an email or by calling the school office at 847-671-1922.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Tiffany Leiva
Principal
