The Schiller Park District 81 Board of Education was honored on May 12th, 2016 with an award of Excellence in Distinguished Service from the Illinois chapter of the National School Public Relations Association (INSPRA).
The SD81 Board of Education was recognized as a crucial component of creating a 1:1 learning environment with iPads in their school district. The result of the Board of Education's involvement in the 1:1 learning initiative is that stakeholders came together to grow a shared mission and vision. All stakeholders are aware of why and how technology can transform learning, increase engagement, and positively impact student achievement.
Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kimberly Boryszewski, nominated the Board of Education for the award, and stated: “I’m thrilled but not surprised that the Board’s hard work and dedication are being recognized. There should never be doubt that the work they do at the Board table has a profound impact on the children in this school district.”
